Youth Faith Formation
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL Confirmation
Registration Opens in the Fall
Our Confirmation program is now administered to teens as a parish family: the parishes of Mary, Queen of Peace, Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Joseph.
Middle school is open to teens in the 7th or 8th grade and High School is open to those in 9th-12th grade during the 26/27 school year. Participants should be baptized and have received their First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church.
We recommend that participating youth be prepared to commit fully to the requirements of Confirmation preparation classes. These include:
Attend Mass every Sunday and on Holy days of Obligation.
Attend and participate fully in the preparation sessions. No more than 3 absences are allowed.
Participate in 15 - Works of Mercy service hours as stipulated in the preparation guidelines.
Attend the full-day Confirmation retreat.

Steubenville Northwest
July 10th - 12th | Spokane, WA
Graduating 8th graders through graduating seniors are invited to this annual youth conference for a weekend of faith, fellowship and fun. We will once again be taking a group from the parish family. Signups are due by May 29th, and payment by June 19th. We have some donors who support youth formation. These funds will be used to cover the cost for chaperones and transportation, and to subsidize the fees for our youth. While the regular rate would be $375 per youth (based on rooms of 4), the subsidized fee for 2026 will be $300. The cost includes lodging, meals for the weekend, the conference fee, and a tshirt. Scholarships are available in cases of financial need. To sign up as a youth or chaperone, email youth@mqp.org.
LEAD is a leadership program during the week leading up to the Conference, July 6th - 10th. The cost is $450 and there are 20 spots available. Youth would need to make their own transportation plans to get to Spokane. The cost includes lodging and food for the week but does not cover the cost of Steubenville weekend. Here is a link to find out more information and to apply by May 31st if interested. https://steubenvilleconferences.com/franciscan-lead/
