Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank
volunteer opportunities
Assistance is needed with unloading donations, cleaning and stocking, especially for evening shifts which sometimes are harder to fill.
Volunteers are needed to help back boxes for food deliveries, as well as drivers to make the deliveries.
Drivers are needed to sign up for “grocery rescue” routes, picking up fresh produce and meat that grocery stores are looking to offload. Twelve local stores are involved. This will start up again as a phased re-start in early April.
The clothing bank is currently being operated at Eastside Fire and Rescue with quarterly ‘pop-up' events. The next event is in March and volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis prior to the event for sorting and preparation, as well as the week of the event.
